DAVID GALE: As a playwright Gale's other shows with co-writer Randy Vancourt include Angst For The Memories, Sell Out and This Time For Sure. Gale's first solo play Pop - A Short, Jewish, Gay, Play was commissioned & produced by the Winnipeg Jewish Theatre. His directing/choreography stage credits include: Bye Bye Birdie, Godspell, The Me Nobody Knows, Baby Rex and I Slept With Tony Trouble which was invited to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

On television Gale hosted 65 episodes and 3 specials of Loving Spoonfuls, a docu-comedy grandmother cooking show, for which he won 2 Canadian television awards. He also created and hosted Second Time Around and a pilot for The David Gale Show.

His other acting credits include: The Tournament, Puppets Who Kill and The Newsroom (PBS) for television and Love and Human Remains, Chutzpah à go-go, Oklahoma, and The Pirates of Penznace at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival on stage. Charming and quick-witted Gale has hosted countless fundraisers and industry events. In 2006 Gale hosted the Toronto Performing Arts Awards and in 2009 he hosted the Toronto Independent Theatre Awards. He is also making heads turn and hearts melt doing Elvis in Yiddish.

THE WRITERS OF CHUTZPAH à GO-GO…

RANDY VANCOURT: Composer, playwright and performer, Randy has appeared across Canada and the U.S. as a musician, actor and writer, including hundreds of appearances as one-half of the music-comedy duo GILBERT & GLICK.

His television work includes writing songs and scores for MAN ALIVE (CBC), DUDLEY THE DRAGON (PBS/YTV), HELLO MRS. CHERRYWINKLE (PBS/Family Channel) and ROCKABYE BUBBLE (TVO), as well as music for 3 LOVING SPOONFULS specials. He wrote and performed the theme songs for À LA POURSUITE DE CARMEN SANDIEGO (Radio Canada), OUR MAGAZINE and YTV's DON'T LICK THE PIG.

He has been Musical Director for over 100 stage productions ranging from the SECOND CITY TOURING COMPANY to the Canadian premiere of THE BRADY BUNCH LIVE. He played the role of Teddy Shapiro in the long-running SOPHIE TUCKER: Last of the Red Hot Mamas. He is also one-half of the DUELLING PIANOS show, which has been touring extensively for the past 10 years. 

As a writer his musicals and comedies include CHUTZPAH à GO-GO, FOREVER FOR NOW, BOARDWALK! The Doo Wop Musical, SMASHED and BORN LUCKY, based on the published works of his father, award-winning author A. Lawrence Vaincourt.
